Dataset of central government debt, greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs and SF6) of countries
This dataset is about countries, has 194 rows and is 86% filled with non-null values. It features 3 columns: central government debt, country, and greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6). The preview is ordered by population (descending).

Legend
Central Government Debt (% of GDP): Debt is the entire stock of direct government fixed-term contractual obligations to others outstanding on a particular date. It includes domestic and foreign liabilities such as currency and money deposits, securities other than shares, and loans. It is the gross amount of government liabilities reduced by the amount of equity and financial derivatives held by the government. Because debt is a stock rather than a flow, it is measured as of a given date, usually the last day of the fiscal year.
Country: Name of country.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Co2, Ch4, N2o, Hfcs, Pfcs, Sf6) (Mt of CO2 equivalent): A measure of annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphurhexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, and agriculture sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values. This measure excludes GHG fluxes caused by Land Use Change Land Use and Forestry (LULUCF), as these fluxes have larger uncertainties. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
