Dataset of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6) and net energy imports of countries
This dataset is about countries, has 194 rows and is 89% filled with non-null values. It features 3 columns: country, greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, SF6), and net energy imports. The preview is ordered by population (descending).

Country: Name of country.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions (Co2, Ch4, N2o, Hfcs, Pfcs, Sf6) (Mt of CO2 equivalent): A measure of annual emissions of the six greenhouse gases (GHG) covered by the Kyoto Protocol (carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and sulphurhexafluoride (SF6)) from the energy, industry, waste, and agriculture sectors, standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values. This measure excludes GHG fluxes caused by Land Use Change Land Use and Forestry (LULUCF), as these fluxes have larger uncertainties. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
Net Energy Imports (% of energy use): Net energy imports are estimated as energy use less production, both measured in oil equivalents. A negative value indicates that the country is a net exporter. Energy use refers to use of primary energy before transformation to other end-use fuels, which is equal to indigenous production plus imports and stock changes, minus exports and fuels supplied to ships and aircraft engaged in international transport.
